McDonald’s asked for new version of their running Monopoly campaign for 2011.
We responded with Triple Play - more chances to win through an instant win, collect to win and an online win mechanic. The project involved huge management and involved over 70 pieces of point of sale kit, a website and a supporting tv commercial. All mechanics work via a sticker found on packaging during the promotional period.
The success of this campaign was massively boosted by making the online game mobile friendly and with the introduction of geo location technology. By showing what prizes had been won in restaurants also made the campaign more believable.
