The brief was to show off the superior battery life of the Sony Xperia Z3 smartphone and get people talking about it. The insight was - people love to brag about how long their phone battery has lasted.
This idea dramatises the Z3 Compact's stamina mode, showing how it results in amazing battery life. We took the renowned triathlon champions, the Brownlee brothers and gave them a Z3 to take with them on an endurance training session over two days to see if they could run down the battery before they finished. The footage contained a freshwater swim which also demonstrates the waterproofness of the phone too. The film was broadcast on YouTube as a video diary and followed on twitter.
